Kristyn Morey (formerly Moore) is a Chicago native, but has called Boston home since 2009. She is an active freelance musician and a longstanding member of the Brookline Symphony Orchestra, for which she serves on the Players Committee, and performs with the Plymouth Philharmonic, Apollo Ensemble, New Bedford Symphony, and the Boston Chamber Symphony. She was the winner of the Brookline Symphony Orchestra’s 2019 Concerto Competition, performing the Reinecke Flute Concerto as part of their 10th Anniversary 2019 season.

In addition to her performing career, Kristyn is also the Associate Director of Enrollment at New England Conservatory in Boston, where she guides musicians through the college application and admission process. Previously, she spent seven years at Verne Q. Powell Flutes, helping flutists around the world find their voice in their dream instrument.

Kristyn completed her M.M. in flute performance at Boston University, with a B.M. in flute performance from DePaul University, where she graduated summa cum Laude. She is the recipient of accolades and scholarships from DePaul University and first place concerto competition prizes from the Protegé Philharmonic and Aurora Youth Symphony. She has had the privilege of studying under Linda Toote, Mary Stolper, Jennifer Clippert, Hideko Amano, and Allison Domanus-Brady, with extensive guidance from Cynthia Meyers, Elizabeth Rowe, and Demarre McGill. She has performed in the masterclasses of Trevor Wye, Paul Edmund-Davies, Cynthia Meyers, Patti Adams, and Jonathan Keeble.

Kristyn is not only an active freelance performer but a passionate educator as well, maintaining a private studio of flutists of all ages and levels in the Brookline area.
